OUR UPCOMING EVENT – LAZY BIRDING 101 (JAN 2025)

Sit in your car, sip your morning chai, and watch the brants fly by – that’s lazy birding!

Join us at the Morro Bay Bird Festival 2025 on January 16 - 20 as we walk you through our birding experience, bird journaling, and bird photography.

We welcome beginners who want to explore the world of birds and those with some experience who enjoy sharing their birding stories in a relaxed setting. Late risers need not fret; the call isn't for a 6 a.m. wake-up. Instead, join us at (a leisurely) 10 a.m. in the Morro Rock parking lot. Expect a stroll around Morro Rock to explore the resident and migratory birds on the rocky habitat and the bayside.

What to bring: Your enthusiasm, a pair of binoculars, a choice of beverage
Optional but fun to have: Camera with telephoto zoom or lens, paper and pencil for sketching, a portable chair
